Background
NaYAN is an academy of Nepali young scientists. It aims to bring young scientists from different disciplines together, engage with business, civil society, media, and government, nurture early-career young scientists, and foster interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary collaboration among them. NaYAN tries to give a collective voice for all the young scientists in Nepal to meaningfully engage in dialogues of national and international importance in which science and research have roles.
Open Science is one of the working groups at NaYAN which works in raising awareness regarding open science, data access, and access to publications. NaYAN is now looking for an intern to support the activities of Open Science working group.
Description of duties
The selected intern will assist in reviewing literature, writing reports & communication materials, coordinating meetings, seminars, workshops and perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor. S/he will gain experience working with experts in research domain from Nepal and abroad during the internship tenure.
Qualification & skills
At least Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Previous research experience is plus point but not required. Good command of written and spoken English and computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite, literature search and report writing is required. The selected candidate should be work in group and complete assigned task independently.

Digital media Internship
National Young Academy of Nepal (NaYAN ) is looking for intern to strengthen its presence in the areas of social media and web based communication. The unpaid internship is for six months period.
The intern will work in a multidisciplinary group of highly accomplished young academicians at NaYAN.
Responsibilities
Create content for NaYAN's digital media platforms (e.g., Website, Facebook & Twitter) and update them.
Work with NaYAN members to create/edit flyers, graphics, videos.
Monitor social media platforms and track relevant topics.
Support NaYAN's online events (e.g., webinar, Facebook live, live tweeting etc.).
The intern can work remotely. Internship starts immediately and requires at least a 10 hr /week commitment.
